We recommend that patient coordinators and providers access Solv Virtual Telemed on a laptop or desktop computer with built in camera or camera attachment enabled.

Recommended hardware/operating specs:

  • Windows 10 highly recommended

  • Mac OS 10.10 or later

  • Intel i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processors

  • 4 GB RAM (minimum)

On desktop, please use a Chrome browser that is updated to the latest release version.

If you only have an iPad available to host the call, please use the Safari browser, and if utilizing an Android tablet, please use the Chrome browser.

Please be sure to run a pre-call test (here) to ensure to confirm the following:

  • Camera is enabled

  • Audio is enabled

  • Run a bandwidth test at http://speedtest.net. Make sure that the bandwidth is over 350kbps upload and download.

Patients can also run the pre-call test (here) to check internet speed, bandwidth, and device connection to ensure that they have a strong enough connection to support a virtual encounter on their network and device.

For the best provider and patient experience, we recommend that providers join video calls on either a laptop or desktop so that the frame is stable, and there is enough screen surface area to see the patient.

Please note that we do not recommend that providers join the call on a mobile phone, as Video Telemed is not supported on these devices on the provider side.
