How to troubleshoot Solv's data connection with eClinicalWorks
Last updated: October 14, 2026
In eCW, if you are seeing issues please try using the following steps to troubleshoot:
If a visit didn’t show up in eCW
Check the facesheet. The EMR Transfer status sits above the patient’s name, and a red alert means the transfer failed.
Check eCW before assuming it failed. If the patient is already on the eCW schedule, the booking went through. The red alert is from the follow-up demographics update, which can hit a locked chart or missing data.
Not on the eCW schedule? Chat in to Solv support with the booking ID.
Common things to check
Takes a while: Each transfer takes about a minute, and transfers can queue at busy times. That’s expected, not a failure.
Chart is locked: The automation holds the chart while it transfers, and it releases within a minute. If it stays locked, go to Menu > File > Settings > Release Concurrency Lock.
Duplicate chart: This usually comes from a name or phone mismatch between Solv and eCW. Merge duplicates directly in eCW.
